Dahlia Metchis is a scripted television producer and development executive with over 20 years of experience. She currently serves as Vice President of Production and Development at Pernomium Pictures, the production company of writer/showrunner VJ Boyd (JUSTIFIED, SWAT). Together they have produced multiple network pilots and two series, most recently the Netflix limited series THE MADNESS starring Emmy winner Colman Domingo. Their current development slate includes projects with Apple, Amazon, AMC, A&E Studios, Universal Cable Productions, and Sony Pictures Television among others. 

Dahlia started her career on the studio/network side working on iconic series such as PSYCH, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, BONES, 24, COMMUNITY, and THE GOOD DOCTOR. In 2022, she expanded her work into the publishing world, marrying her experience in television development with her life-long love of books. As an Author Accelerator Certified book coach and developmental editor, she helps writers with everything from ideation to manuscript revision to agent querying. 

A fierce love of good storytelling combined with an intimate understanding of all sides of the process - from the writers room to the executive suite to long days on set - make Dahlia uniquely qualified to support a writer’s vision while being clear-eyed about the realities of the marketplace. When not working you can find her at the dance studio, hiking anywhere but Runyon Canyon, and trying the latest new Trader Joe’s items.
